Vegan Omega utilizes algal oil (algae oil), a sustainable pure oil from marine microalgae rich in omega-3 fatty acids. Triglycerides (TG) are fatty acids that are bound to a molecule of glycerol for stability. The raw omega-3 fats present in all fish species are present as TGs. Algal oil is vegan and provides the same omega-3 fatty acids as those sourced from fish. In addition, algal oil is just as bioavailable as fish oil which means it works exactly the same way in the body. Vegan Omega is naturally high in DHA with a higher DHA:EPA ratio than most fish oils.
